Cakes a plenty (September 2011)

It has been a busy yet enjoyable summer for me this year. I have had great fun making the wedding cakes and have delivered them to some truly gorgeous destinations. Suzanne and Mike’s butterfly wonky cake for their wedding at the zoo this summer was particularly fun to make and my first wonky cake made commercially. Several practice cakes were made in the run up to their wedding to make sure that I could pull it off successfully and I know my husband’s colleagues were grateful for these as they all got sent in as coffee time cakes (I think some jokes were made regarding cutting the cakes together).

September is still a fairly busy month for wedding cakes but I started the month off with a break from wedding cakes to make Sandra her midwife and tower of baby naming cakes for her retirement party and October will see me making a first birthday cake for my own little Eliza.

I am starting to book up for wedding cakes for 2012 so if you are interested in having me make a cake for you then please do not hesitate to get in contact with me  and arrange a no obligation consultation and tasting session.

We would like to thank you for a lovely cake. It was nicely decorated. Everyone at the reception commented on how lovely the cake tasted. Thank you.
